Dianthus – Cottage Garden Classic
Dianthus, also known as pinks or Sweet William (depending on the variety), is a charming old-fashioned flower loved for its frilled petals, spicy-sweet fragrance, and long blooming season. From soft pastels to bold magentas, Dianthus adds delicate colour and cottage charm to garden beds, borders, and pots.
These easy-to-grow perennials (or biennials/annuals depending on type) thrive in sunny positions with well-drained soil. They’re a magnet for bees and butterflies and make gorgeous cut flowers too.
